"Friends" is an independent group taking part in the direction and support of our library. They welcome all input from interested parties and share a belief that maintaining and supporting good library service is important to everyone. Anyone interested in joining is asked to call the library.
Purpose Statement as of January 1997
Encourage readership and community interest in the library. Develop events and programs with the appoval of the board which appeal to the membership and support the library goals. (e.g. literacy programs, book festivals, author visits, writing competitions, etc.) Assist the library staff by volunteering input and help as needed. Raise money for special projects.
